About Ends Meat, Whole Animal Butcher
Founded by John Ratliff, Ends Meat is a whole-animal butcher and salumeria that has been a cornerstone for ethically raised, high-quality meats in New York City for over 15 years. Known for its sustainable practices, Ends Meat works directly with local farmers (in the tristate region) who employ regenerative agriculture, ensuring every product reflects unmatched quality and craftsmanship. With its flagship store in Industry City, Brooklyn, Ends Meat serves a loyal customer base and educates consumers about the value of ethically sourced, minimally processed meats.
Making Ends – USDA Facility
As part of its vertically integrated approach, Ends Meat operates “Making Ends,” a USDA-certified wholesale facility that bridges the gap between small-scale farms and discerning meat consumers. By managing critical logistics and processing functions in-house, Making Ends ensures seamless quality control and operational efficiency. This facility processes up to 500 animals annually, supporting Ends Meat’s retail operations, wholesale clients, and future e-commerce expansion.
Mission and Vision
Ends Meat is redefining the standards for ethical meat consumption by addressing systemic challenges in the meat industry, including:
Supporting small farms by guaranteeing full utilization of livestock through direct partnerships.
